The contract is not just a formality. It's where promises from discussions become concrete details for the day of the event.

Check exactly what you are getting

Write down the date, place, time slot, services included and the people who will provide them. For photo-video, ask about deliverables and delivery time. For decor, clarify what items are included, who brings them, who sets them up, and when they go up. For music, check equipment, breaks and program duration.

Look at money and change

The total price, down payment, installments and due dates should be easy to track. Ask what happens if you add hours, change the location or change the number of guests. Clarify transport, accommodation and any travel costs separately.

Discuss contingencies

What happens if the event is postponed, if a vendor can no longer attend, or if the weather changes the plan? Read the amendment and cancellation conditions and ask for clarification on any ambiguous wording. Do not assume that a verbal discussion is automatically found in the contract.

Keep all agreements and changes in an accessible place, along with your contact details. If a clause has important consequences and is not clear, ask for written clarification before you sign.
