To the question "How much does a wedding cost?" there is no single correct answer. Two events with the same number of guests can have very different budgets.

Where does the difference come from?

The venue, menu, drinks, music, photo-video, decor, flowers, attire and transportation each have multiple price tiers. Date and distance may influence travel availability and costs. In addition, a displayed price may cover only part of what you imagine: ask what is included in the offer and what is paid separately.

Build your budget by category

Write down a total amount you're willing to spend, then divide it between categories. Mark what is essential for you: it can be a culinary experience, photos, music or an intimate atmosphere. Where one thing matters less, you can choose a simple option without losing the charm of the event.

Don't forget the small costs that add up

Deliveries, assembly, overtime, supplier accommodation, shipping, stationery and late changes may occur outside of the original estimate. Keep a contingency reserve and track payments and deadlines in one place.

A good budget does not mean always choosing the cheapest option. It means knowing what you get for each choice and staying in control of the entire story.
